Thandi Mkhize Designs was established in 2009 by Val Arnold who desired to own her own company. The name was the easy part as she had had this name in mind for a number of years. It was what to do that was the big question.

An opportunity arose whereby she could reproduce the art work of a wildlife artist from Zimbabwe, at first with a range of boxed cards, then single cards and canvas prints. Slowly but surely this range grew and so did the sales.

The company now uses the original works of many South African photographers and artists in a range of greeting cards and gift tags. This range of cards covers birds, butterflies, wild flowers and wild life. All cards are of a very high quality and all come with matching envelopes, for that added extra touch. Val intends to increase the range of cards and gift tags by continually adding new variations, like children's cards and more specialised cards such as the 'Quilt Range'. Our product range increases all the time and now includes floral printed linen tea towels and key rings. We have an exciting new bathroom range which includes aroma candles, bath crystals, hand wash, hand lotion, a room/linen spray and soaps. This exciting range comes in a variety of fragrances and they all contain aromatherapy oils. Once again see our gallery section for the full range.

The company, Thandi Mkhize Designs, is based in the heart of the Kwazulu-Natal midlands and hence the name was chosen to reflect the beauty of our surroundings and our African heritage.
